First HF

Well, its the first one off the lathe in one piece! One other I went through the side while hollowing out, and the second I went through the bottom cleaning off the tennon. Spalted Birch measures 4 3/4" X 3". Finished with mineral oil waiting to be buffed. Haven't decided on a collar or cap as of yer...Bill...

Really nice piece of wood and a real nice form, like john i would leave it as it is, does not need a thing, if you do go for a long slender ebony finial and lid, 2 piece job cap it off nice no pun. nice work Bill...LB
