First Hackberry **grubs got hurt

My first attempt at turning hackberry (Celtiis-for you intellectuals). I'd had some chunks drying and cut a couple of blanks; I've never seen such big grubs! During this turning must've killed at least 6--- and I liked it. Bowl was a challenge and tool marks be danged, don't think it'll take any more turning without disaster.
Next one I'll try to do in one session.

Everyday--learning to liberate nice things from ordinary chunks of wood
and I like gnarly wood--outcome is always better than the start.
