First bowl using linden

Today I rough turned my biggest bowl yet - 13" diameter. The person who gave me the log said it was linden, but I've never heard of that before. I liked how clear the wood was and got a shower from how green it was. It's going to be a long few months waiting for it to dry so I can see the final result. Can anyone tell me more about this kind of wood? I have one more piece.

Sprior,
Linden is a domestic wood. I have bought it in plank form, kiln dried and glued it up and turned it. It has a pinkish hue to it and turns nice. Somewhat dense, but not as hard as oak. Nice wood to work with.

In the US, Linden is another name for basswood. You can see examples and a full "fact sheet" on my site.

You can never have too much pepperoni on your pizza or own too many clamps.
