First acrylic pen tube

A few weeks ago I bought an acrylic pen blank just for the experience, but I've kinda felt that hand crafted pen making should be from wood because wasn't the whole idea to get away from "cheap plastic". Well I turned it this weekend, grumbled about the smell while doing it, but then I saw the result after the last micro-mesh pad and wow! 2 more blanks on order...

Wait, where's the pic? The smell is why I don't turn acrylics, just don't like it.

That bowl was perfect right up until that last cut...

Not a great pic, I'm having trouble with the click pen kit sticking, and I might turn it down a little to be just a little less bulgy in the middle, but as an experiment I was very impressed with the gloss finish achieved.

The bowl pic attachment is a finger slip on my phone, obviously not a pen...

Ok, took the pen apart, turned it down more in the middle, then put it together in the twist pen kit - like it better now.
