Fay&Egan lathe

Does anyone have any info/reference on an old Fay&Egan lathe? This is a monster 1HP 3ph motor. So heavy that my son and I couldn't lift it up on the ways. His engine hoist had trouble with it.
The motor has threaded shaft on both ends and a hand brake on it.
I haven't gotten it running yet (have to build the phase shifter first)

hughie,
Thanks for the info. I'm going to check into the sites you sent. I hope I can get this monster running soon.
