Eye candy for wood turners

Just a few pics of woods I use for my work. I travel coast to coast & sometimes internationally to acquire some of this stuff. I have my own mill & process lots of domestic figured woods, too. I'm just a wood nut. Can't get enough :)

Desert ironwood:

Various turning squares used in my pool cues:

Weird quilt pattern splicing to give a neat linear effect:

That is just too cool! How much (gulp) do you charge for a cue?

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. James 3:17

Man that's some really cool eye candy..Wish i could take a trip back there just to get some of that wood. Still know a few folks down there. Worked in a cab shop and built houses back 28 years ago down there. Worked on the motel 6 when it first came to town. Also have a son that was born down there. Always liked Clouldcroft, just wished i had lived up there instead of down in the desert.
