Driver brand lathe

I know someone that was asking me about this Driver brand lathe. What is in the picture is all there is. They were wanting to know if it had any collector value and what the second device was behind it. I was unfamiliar with brand and wanted everyone else’s input. My thought is the device behind was unrelated to the lathe, possibility a mandrel for another purpose.

I would have to go look but I think the small lathe I have in the shop is just like that. I plan to put it on a singer treadle sewing stand and make a lathe for kids to try out.

I think the sewing machine stand will be to wobbly to use a lathe on. I believe it would be a lot safer on a bench attached to the wall.

I've already talked to a guy that did it. It works great. Your not going to put bowls on this thing. It's basically a spindle lathe. It will go quite well with my spring pole lathe.
