Does anyone know how to stabilizing pen blanks?

I know some use thin CA or the Polycrylic can be used. but is there anyway to truly stabilize a pen blank through and through? You know like when you buy them stabilized.

Yes. You put them in a vaccum chamber and pour a stabelizing resin evor top of em and then hook the vaccum pump up. After the resin is drawn into the wood, you bake em to cure the resin.

If you dont want to invest the money to purchase stabelizing equipment, I can give you info for a guy that does it.

If you Google wood stabilizing service, you'll find a bunch of places that will do it for you. Also lots of how-to info.

That bowl was perfect right up until that last cut...
