curly sugar maple bowl

we cut down 3 sugar maples the other day at work and I stole the v cut at the base as usual and cut it to size. Was not all too pleased with the form but found that as I turned more down towards the base it started losing some of that curly figure and I didnt want the whole piece to lose that curlyness! The curly figure was on my bucketlist of weird things to see in wood and I'm glad I finally found some. Which brings me to a question for you all: what is your favorite figure to come across in a piece of wood? crotch figure, spalting colorful fungus etc. I always love getting exposed to more oddities, Post Pics! Anyway... with no further blather heres some curly sugar maple, happy turnin,
Bond

Bond,
nice looking piece of wood. I would turn a lid for it and call it a box. Would look nice in the kitchen to put something in like peppercorns, tea bags, etc.
