cherry bowl

i turned this a while back while it was wet then let it dry and warp
i think i like round better but this is kinda kool

Personally, if the bowl is lacking complete odd or different grain pattern, anything else that would bring out more of the bowl the better. So therefore, the "warptness" looks good with this bowl. Nice job!!

Very nice work. Do you happen to know what kind of cherry this is? I have several what we call "wild cherry" on my property, and wondered about turning it. I guess I could cut one and try, but hate to waste the time if it's not suitable.

i live in se ky and yes this is wild cherry.it is part of a large limb that fell off a tree.i also turned a platter out of cherry that i posted pics of.
cherry is my favorite wood
