Burnt Edge NE bowl

The bark had long since fallen off of this piece, so I decided to try John's technique of burning the edge with a torch. It added definition to an otherwise blah edge.

Tim,
that turned out nice. Did you burn the edge after taking it off the lathe or while it was still on?

Very nice. I like the way natural edge bowls look. If you hadn't said you burned the edge I would have never guessed it.

Fantastic job. It looks great. Burning wood is a technique that works on so many projects. It's just a matter of getting up enough nerve to torch something that you worked so hard on. Great job!!
