Bud Vase

Turned this bud vase from the same unknown wood as my last post. Used 4 coats of water based varnish since I was out of any other sealers. This is 4.5" high and looks white since the waterbased varnish doesn't change the color of the underlying substrate not one bit. I kind of like this little bugger. Mitch

Thanks Lilty, I appreciate your kind words. Would you believe this wood on this thread is the same as the one on the hollow form vase under this one? Only difference is the sealer used. On the Hollow vase I used satin poly to seal the wood and on this one I used a water based varnish, which doesn't change the color at all but the poly does a bunch. I have a hard time getting a clear picture of these vases that I use the water based var on. Makes the wood almost white but looks real good when you have one in your hand. Mitch

Hiya Mitch not seen out of ya for awhile, biz myself making new racks for the wood im blanking take use of the weather here. Any way Nice one Mitch you done good on this one, love the shape hope the inside is as good then your onto a winner, not sure what your useing with the pics as you click to make larger and it stays about the same, would be nice to get and see it a bit closer, try filling the frame of the camera, nice flowers but the vase is better, the colour or whatever towards the bottom like to see that. Its nice to see a real improvment mitch, I like it. LB
