box elder box

I think there should be a term called Post Turning Stupid. As soon as I got this thing finished last night I went out to eat with my lady and was so blown away by the prettiness of it that if she had asked me what two plus two made I probably would have said unicorns. I can imagine the conversation at the hospital. "Whats wrong with him doctor?" Im afraid hes got PTS. "Dont you mean PTSD?" No. Post Turning Stupid mayam, worst case Ive ever seen. Ive met bowls of oatmeal that are smarter than he is right now.
This was my first shot at a box and found it fitting that it should be box elder. Think this one is going to my grandmother for her 80th birthday. Anywho with no further blather here's some yummyness.
Happy turnin all,
Bond

Nice job James.
The subtle spalting really sets it off. Funny description too.

Beautiful. Nice chunk of wood, nicely turned.

You can never have too much pepperoni on your pizza or own too many clamps.

That's pretty! Makes me want to take my blank out and attempt it, but I haven't the skills yet to do the box elder justice. I'll practice on the pen blanks for a while first, I think.

Where's the cookies??

That's really a cool looking box and the Flame Box Elder only enhances it.

Cookies?? It'd almost be a shame to fill it with GrandMa's chocolate chip cookies - you couldn't see the inside. Unless you ate all the cookies so you could see it!!!

Y'all are killing me with this box elder. Really beautiful stuff. I love the shape of the box too. Well done.
