can someone tell me the best way to mount a pool stick shaft
into a 12"x36" lathe for turning off the old farrel which is glued
on...any help will be appreciated...thanks...rick..

Is it a brass ferrule. If it is just heat it and pull. It will come off easier than you think. The challenging part in turning it off will finding the centers accurately enough.
