acrylic rod?

Does any one happen to know where to get a solid acrylic rod? maybe even colored ones and atleast 1inch and or bigger to turn on the lathe?

I used to buy it in Nashville at a plastics place. Don't remember the name but you might find a place in the larger cities if you look up plastics or acrylic in the yellow pages. I'll bet a quick google search would bring up a ton of places. I think I bought the last clear rod that I still have some of, at www.use-enco.com it was either there or www.mscdirect.com

Ask for cast acrylic, not extruded rod...it may turn better.

Be aware that acrylics don't turn the same as wood. Do some reading on turning this material for best results. Nice find on the website BTW, I bookmarked it future use.

Thanks i like that they have a nice selection of colors and sizes it makes it nice to choose from.
And i'll look up how to turn it because i'v heard its easy from some people but then again its hard from others because it melts it you do it wrong or something. So i guess im goin back to more searching.
