10x14 tail stock

Hello I am having a problem with my Jet 10x14. When I unlock the tail stock and slide it back to get it out of the way or to remove something the lock handle drops below the bed and becomes locked in the down possion is there an adjustment to prevent it from fallind down so far? Having to hold it level and sliding the tail back is a real pain in the pants. lukcon

Mount a stop on it do it can't drop that far.

That bowl was perfect right up until that last cut...

Take the tail stock off and there is an adjustment nut on the bottom of the locking plate. Tighten it until the tail stock just slides onto the bed, this may help.
