I am a painter and using plywood as canvas.
My problem is that the plywood don't remain straight.
Please advise.

plywood warps, cups, twists. nature of the beast. it's wood, it reacts to humidity/climate/temperature

for smallish plywood "canvasi" you can try cutting to size, then sealing with poly/lacquer.
that'll likely help in about 50% of cases.

consider MDF - much more stable, especially when sealed. or, plywood full contact surface glued to MDF.

I'm not a painter, but when I was a kid and wanted to try to paint with oils, my parents gave me 1/4" Masonite. It's not plywood, but it's kind of like wood. Sort of.
