How to join wedding 'arch'

The top section of the picture is the vertical view and the bottom is a side view. What's the best way to connect the top to the 4x4 legs?

Since it will be for temporary use to be broken down later I think I would mortise the posts to allow the top piece to fit into.

We have an introduction section where you can say a few words about yourself. If you fill out your profile in your "User Control Panel", you can list any hobbies, experience, occupation, or if retired…from what, or other facts. You can also list your general geographical location which would be a help in answering some questions. In doing that your location will show under your username when you post.

You would want to eliminate as much movement as possible. I would use two either carriage bolts or hex head bolts with washers and nuts at each location.
