Filling large visible holes in panel

I am making a banjo case out of a glued up panel of cedar and some of my biscuit slots are visible after cutting out the top and bottom. How do I fill these as to make them as invisible as possible?

Might could use the biscuit cutter to take out the biscuit showing on the edge and cut some cedar the same color and oriented the same grain direction and glue it in tightly. At least then you would not have a different type of wood showing

Thanks Gary. I had thought of something along that line but I hadn't worked out how to get the biscuit parts out. That may be my solution. Thanks again.

I think what Gary is saying is to use the biscuit cutter and make a new hole and cutting a piece of cedar the shape of the biscuit to plug the hole with. It might make a smaller spot just to use some mahogany wood putty if it's in the red part of the wood or mix some tinting color to some spackle or bondo to fill the void.
