Corner cabinet

I am looking to make a small corner cabinet but am curious on how to join the wood that meets on the 45. It is the vertical pieces and technically the boards will be ripped at 22.5 degrees and together will make a 45 angle. How should I go about joining these boards together? Just glue? If it's that easy that would be great. Thanks

I'm a bit confused. If its a right angle corner at 90 like a typical wall corner, the angled cuts would be 45 each.

If it's 3/4 inch stock cut at 45, joined with just glue, it would hold really well. You could always add a spline to make it really strong.

You could just butt joint with a rabbet on one piece, and dado on the other. If the back isn't going to be seen, it doesn't really matter much. The inside will look the same.

Of course, if you wanted a flat back, then the 22.5 makes sense.

I normally make a faceframe first with a 45 degree angle on each side. On the back side of the faceframe on the angle I cut a 1/4" rabbet on the edge on the back side for the back. Then I size the shelves to fit between the rabbet for the back. Then it's just a matter of fastening the shelves to the faceframe. The back just has one side of the back overlap the other.
