Chasing my tail to a slap on the head

So my jointer stared running ragged, making some noise, vibration, the works. So I start trouble shooting, cleaning out the guts doing all maintenance needed. Still hogging away... then came the slap to the head (self inflicted) I didn't check to see if the blades were sharp. Sure enough they were dull and it's now running just fine!

New, seasoned, young, or old.... take your time everyone can miss something.
