Beading with Stanley 45

Hey folks, I have decided to go the old fashioned route for family gifts this year. Everybody gets picture frames.
I am doing them by hand with a 45, mitre box, and various other planes and fasteners.
My question is: When beading or applying a profile with the 45, should I start from the outside edge and work inwards, or vice versa? I will try to find a pic to illustrate this question.
EDIT: This will be a multiple bead/ built up profile.

Probably the outside in, however more important is to start with the profile furthest from the fence of the plane. Grain direction may dictate which is the inside or outside of the frame parts.
