I heated my last shop with heat. It worked well.
You mentioned fire extinguishers. I’m glad you did. I was going to if you did not. But, when talked about checking them you did not talk about turning them upside down and shaking them. If you don’t do that (I did it monthly) the powder settles. I have fire fighter friends who have told me about fires where someone tried to put it out with a fire extinguisher that was “in the green” but had been hanging for years without a shake. At that point it is as good as a brick. The pressure cannot push the powder out if it is a solid chunk.
That's some good advice and I'm glad that you chimed in with it. To be honest, I've never heard of that but that doesn't mean it isn't true. For the 10 seconds that it takes to remove it from the wall and give it a shake, it could mean the difference between extinguishing a fire and watching a fire consume your shop. Thank for bringing that to my attention. It's very much appreciated.
