Actually it's easiest to drill those holes first before you do the bigger hoiles. Thats similar to how I've done my cube in a cube in a cube. Once you have your stops set up theres no problems drilling over the smaller holes.

What use is a carving? A painting? Any random knick-knack or bric-a-brac? Not every creation has to serve a practical function. Somethings serve the sole purpose of being interesting or decorative curiosities or art pieces.
