Yet another newbie central Texas

Howdy, name is Julie. Been working with wood since 2010, work with lots of recovered, reclaimed wood. Small stuff like hair accessories, kitchen utensils etc.

Joined so I can learn, and vent when I don't know why something has cracked after working with it so long lol.

Nice to meet ya'll!

Welcome here Julie, to this friendly WW forum, where there is always room for one more. Good to read you are into "recycling", which can be fun and is great for this planet. Enjoy your stay, comment/vent when you need to, and be safe.

Hi Julie. Sometimes stuff can be very expensive and beautiful firewood after one wrong move.

I hate signatures.

You said you were from central Tx. Waco claims to be the heart of Tx and Brownwood claims they are the heart of Tx. What part of central Tx are you from?

If you don't have time to do it right the first time, when will you have time to do it over?

Just relocated back to Cameron after a 4 year stint in Houston and 3 years in Arkansas. Cameron is about 25 miles east of Temple

Oh I hear you there. Usually hang on to it for awhile to see if it can be further repurposed. If not then the wood stove gets a sacrificial offering.
