Texas Rookie

I've been looking through the site for the last couple weeks and have been amazed by the wealth of information so I finally decided to take the time to register.

As for me, I've dabbled in woodworking, small projects here & there, ever since I can remember. For about the last 10 years I thought I would like to start my own woodworking business to run on the side; but always figured it was just a pipe dream until I acquired my granddad's old lathe a couple years ago & really got the bug...so last August I took a leave from my job in the financial business & dove into the self-employed world. After 5 months of pure determination (and an insane amount of luck) I had gotten my name out there. Now I'm back at my day job & have a steady flow of jobs coming in on the side.

Welcome aboard, glad to have you.

Well it's nice that you got your side business started but you need to load up some albums with pictures of your work. We like pictures.

Thank you, and I'll get some pictures up as soon as I get my personal computer back up & running (it locked up on me after downloading, or trying to download, sketchup.)
