In Texas and just joined

Hello all woodworkers. I'm tooljack (jackie), a born and bred TEXAN. I see that there are a lot of other Texans on this forum also; so I'm happy to join with ya'll. I am a retired USAF pilot (32 years) service and now been retired for 26. Returned to Tx about 24 years ago, bought land in Anderson County, Palestine Tx , and for the most of the time I/ve been trying to reclaim it from, the EAST TEXAS wilderness. I had to give up my Fine Wood Working hobby for clearing the land of billions of fire ants, 4" dia. poison ivy, 6" dia or more grape vines ect. So far all has been good going, so I hope to get back to Fine Wood Working. My motto for this place
(Windsong Gardens Goat Ranch) is "If God wil let me live long enough, work hard enough, and pour a lot more money into it; someday someone may have a halfway decent place to live" I wil get back here soon.

You'd better start carrin'.... close calls bill

The answer to your question will only be as detailed and specific as the question is detailed and specific. Good questions also include a sketch or a photo that illustrates your issue. (:< D)

Welcome aboard from Canada. I'm hoping that you can get back to your woodworking soon so that we can see some of your work.

There is a very fine line between a "hobby" and a "mental illness"
