South Central PA Newbie

Hi everyone. I live in south central PA and have a somewhat basic garage/workshop/shed/whatever.

I have some basic tools like Craftsman RAS, drill press, plainer (all older than I am), router and small table, and Craftsman "pancake" air compressor with a brad nailer and air palm hammer.

I also have some of the usual power hand tools like Ryobi 18v drill, Craftsman hammer drill, Craftsman corded circular saw, palm sander, and a couple others that slip my mind at 3:30 in the morning.

Most of what I do is car work to keep my cars and a few friend's cars going but I have a couple small, basic projects in mind like a small TV stand, bathroom medicine cabinet, and an over-the-john cabinet.

Here's some pictures of my garage/workshop. They're about 5 years old and things have changed but...:

Hi Keviny welcome to the forum! Nothing wrong with that shop! My shop is more scrunched than that One thing I would suggest is finish insulating those exterior walls and maybe put up some OSB paneling. Painted white the OSB will really brighten things up. Also remember pegboard is your friend. I like that wall mounted fan. I've been thinking of getting something like that for my place too.

Thanks John. This Spring and Summer, I plan to rearrange, take some of the insulation from the two non-exterior walls and put it up the inside of the roof, and then put OSB up. Don't know about paint yet. Maybe just white primer for now. Other projects have to come first like insulating and putting up OSB in the rest of the garage, construct and put up some shelving, finish siding the outside, and figure out a way to use the side door as the main access door instead of the garage door all the time. Right now it just has a large hook on the inside and no way to unlock from the outside. As can be seen in the 4th and 6th pictures, the door now is like a shed door and I want to put a knob and deadbolt on it. Anyone have any ideas???
