Plenty to learn

Hey all. I've been wondering the sites halls for a few days now. Folks call me Shot. Great site! Bricklayer by trade, finish carpenter by choice, bit of a handy man by necessity. I've been working with wood for many years, built my barn...with a small wood shop...out of a few old barns I tore down in the area. Southern Indiana. While I've built a few pieces of furniture for family and friends there's nothing there I'd be quick to show you guys. Easy to see just by reading the posts yall know what you're doing. I have to read blueprints all day at work so when it comes to my woodworking I prefer to just start with an idea and see how close the end product is to the original thought.

Here is a set of game boards I put together for a raffle for some kids events we have planned for this summer. Scrap milled to about 3/16, contact cement on a piece of ply and some worm eaten oak. Once the sanding is done we'll do some woodburning on em and get some finish on them.

Thanks to those that have shared their tips, tricks and knowledge here. Back to the archives!!
