out of the closet

I guess I have lurked long enough

This site has the BEST Smiles on the web! Thats what brought me out.

Seriously though

Hi all,

I'm John from Connecticut.
I'm an aspiring sawdust and splinter fabricator. I've been woodworking on-and-off for a couple of years but I'm really a "jack of all trades master of none". Hence the on-and-off woodworking.

Here is some irony - My wife urged me to buy my first router. LOL Big mistake!! Before that all I owned was a circ saw and a drill.

I enjoy the challenge and pride of woodworking. It makes me happy.

Hi John from Connecticut

Glad to see you here. I'm John From Tennessee. You sound like a expert to me. I have a garage full of stuff but my health has keeping me away from it. There is a great bunch here. Also there is a bunch that have genuine God given talent. Enjoy it here

Welcome. I'm new here, too. The guys on this site know pretty much everything there is to know and they are very willing to share their expertise.
BTW, if your wife is encouraging you to buy tools, you are a lucky guy!

Hi Joe from across the sound. I'll drive my car down to the beach, tell me if you can see me flash my headlights. Whats Morse code for DeWalt?

No doubt there is a good bunch of WWers here.

Ya The wife likes makin stuff too. Actually she has known her bench / table saw longer than she has known me...The down side is I can't BS her into thinking I need a tool we really don't.

Thanks for the welcome
