Newbie from Sweden

Hi all,
I live in the northern part of Sweden and I have been living on a farm for many years. There I had a large workshop equipped with a huge cast-iron combination machine. Unfortunately I had little time for any "proper" woodworking other than fixing leaking roofs and repairing farm equipment. Two years ago I sold the farm and bought a smaller house. Im part time retired and the other parts I work as a carpenter and also as truck driver. Now I have the time to take up some serious woodworking again and I have started the process of transforming the garage into a woodworking shop. It was when I was searching the Internet for inspiration for that work that I stumbled into this forum and realised what a world of really great woodworkers there is out there. I have no experience of american woodworking at all so I look forward to interesting discussions about our different experiences. From what I have seen so far we have a lot in common but there are also some different angels.
I have a special interest in traditional woodworking techniques and to preserve our heritage.

Valkommen Longknife, glad to have you with us !! I am sure we will have as much to learn from you as you will from us. Of course one of the first things I want to see is your shop! I am particularly interested in what kind of power tools and machines you have at your disposal.

Welcome to the forum.
Can you post some pictures of your 'traditional' work, please.

Welcome! One of the highlights of the forum is comparing woodworking in the States to that abroad. Plenty to learn by all.
