newbie say hi

Hello all..I'm 32 yrs old, living in Oroville CA. I'm really new to woodworking. Been on disability for my back for the last 19 months, so I needed a hobbie to stay busy. I have been remodeling my kitchen for the last 8 months or so. New paint, wainscoting, tile, light fixtures, counter tops, and refacing my cabinets. It's a slow process because of my back, but it's getting there. I would like to build a corner kitchen nook with storage. Aso a kitchen cart with wine rack and butcher block top. I have been looking through the internet for plans for weeks, and can not find a damn thing. As long as I have instructions or even an image I can build anything. My problem is envisioning things in my mind, I get lost. My dads birthday is coming up in December and I would like to build him a nice bible box. If any of you have any help for me, please please send them my way. I will be sure to post pics of the finished work. Thank you for your time, and have a great day everyone

Hi Chesney16 glad to have you with us! Looks like you have a pretty full plate with the kitchen remodel and the list of projects you want to get done. Take your time so you only have to do things once! I think a bible box would make a wonderful gift for your Dad. It can be as simple or elaborate as you want. I'm sure he will treasure it.

Welcome from the Midwest!

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. James 3:17

Welcome Chesney16
Looking forward to pics. Not much that the people on this forum don't know. We are blessed with a lot of broad knowledge here.
