Newbie here from Louisiana

Just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Ronnie and I am from
southwest Louisiana. I have always liked wood working and now I plan on getting more serious with it. I have built a few things and I just didn't know if I made the right kind of joint or used the right kind of finish. With all of the knowledgeable people on this site I know that I have found a home and I can find all of the right answers.

what part of SouthWest Louisiana? I was born in DeQuincy, lived in the great big town of Longville, but that was 41 years ago, I think it has two stores now instead of one

You're right, there is quite a few places down Ryan street to wet your whistle. You must have bought your boudin from Market Basket, it's some of the best.
