I'm a newbie here at the forum. I've already gotten busy posting, but now I'll take some time for an introduction. I got started in woodworking from my family. My grandfather builds custom horse drawn show wagons. He's sold wagons in 48 states, Canada, and Puerto Rick. He's sold a wagon to David Letterman for his Montana ranch and also to the University of Missouri Veterinary School. My cousin turns extremely intricate bowls, platters, and vases and his work is displayed in an art gallery in Scottsdale, AZ. I started seriously building in high school where I built an entertainment center that won first place in my division at the state competition my junior year and built a raised panel wet bar my senior that also won first place in it's division.
Now I'm into making custom exotic wood grips for 1911 frame pistols. I don't have the space I'd like for a full shop, so I'm starting small. I like getting tips and hints from fellow woodworkers and I'm looking forward to more posts.
