Newbie From Grand Rapids, MI
Hey guys,
I just stumbled across this site when looking up how to make mortise and tenon joints.
I've been building things with wood since i was a freshman in high school (1999) Mostly furniture, entertainment centers, book shelves, night stands etc. My wife and i just bought our first house a year ago and i have a good chunk of the basement to do what i want with, been looking at your shop photos and getting a lot of ideas that are going to drain my wallet for a while
anyways, cool site and i look forward to learning a lot.

Thanks for the welcome,
I'm hoping because i gave her free reign on the other half of the basement, my half will be safe, but only time will tell.

Wood dust may be an issue with her.You may want to invest in an overhead air filtration unit to hang from the ceiling.Just my $.02 worth.

Welcome to the forum.
My wife also gave me a large portion of our basement for my shop.
My only mistake was spending 2 years making things for the shop before the first useful article for her.
Be careful to "export" something every once and a while.
