New from Western NC

Used to knock around with wood projects years ago, 20 or more. Been doing some flea markets and yard sales even graigslist and have been finding some products that are made very good not like todays stuff they just need a little TLC and have been having some success.
Been reading and looking around your forum and desided to join today.
An older gentlemen got me involved way back when he used to refurbish old furniture and just about anything for a historic society. He could duplicate anything just like the original from cutting the tree to the finish product.

Welcome Curly. I'm from near Charlotte. Love the mountains. My brother has a cabin in Cashiers. We go to the festival there once a year. Bought 2 porch rockers from a guy there a few years ago. That was before I started woodworking.

Yup about 60 miles straight west of here on Hwy 64. Not much out there but open mountains. Views that actually lower you blood pressure.
