A new wanabe from Washington

Hello all,
What a wonderful place you have here. I've been lurking for a while and I have posted a few times so I guess it's time to introduce myself. I live just outside Seattle with my wife of 37 years. I've been a lot of things over my life time and for the last 27 years I've worked as a mechanic working mainly on fire department vehicles.

I'm close to retirement so the chance to really get into working with wood gets to be more of a reality. I'm by no means any good at the craft but I do try. Back in high school I took wood shop for 4 years, built a couple of coffee tables, a cedar chest, which I still have, plus other things, and I haven't really done much since. It's time I got back into it and this place really helps with the knowledge and excitement to do just that.

Thank you,
Bill

Welcome to the forum.

You can never have too much pepperoni on your pizza or own too many clamps.

Yes it does rain here but at this time it's 20 degrees with snow on the ground. Not the usual though. Thanks for the welcome

Thanks for the welcome. We coined a phrase out here in Washington as Fire Mechanics

" We my not be the pride of the fire service but without us the pride don't ride."
