I have been woodworking for a few years now (when i am back east and have access to my fathers shop.) I grew up doing concrete construction. My family owns a construction rental business called "Appalachian Equipment and Supply of Va." Anyone near Harrisonburg, Va, and need anything, hit them up.
I am former Military (Navy) NSWC. Served in Desert Storm with SDV-Team One. Various other assignments throughout my 12 yrs active and 6 yrs reserves.
I look forard to browsing the forums, and will post some of my (limited) work when I gt my other computer back from the technician.

Welcome Marvin Baker, if that's who you really are?

Looking forward to the pictures. We like pictures.

I worked in the rental business for several years.
It is a very interesting business to say the least.

I left the rental business for a lower stress job, teaching!

Hello Mr. Baker. Superman (Wayne) & I spend alot of the good 3 months on the 81, between Front Royal and Harrisonburg. Beautiful scenic drives, great antiquing. We're in the Gainesville/ Manassas/ Warrenton triangle. NOVA is great outside the Barrack belt. Wayne just retired CW5 Army, after 43 years, Logistics/Supply, his last tour was 2003 in Kuwait at Staging post Camp Jarifan (sp?). I am a cosmetology instructor, with alot of remodeling ideas, little exp.
Have fun on the site, see ya around. Heather

Marvin,
Welcome to the forum and thank you for your service to our country. Hope you enjoy it here. I too use my real name. I don't think it matters any more. There is so much info on us out there everywhere that you can't hide too long. I have nothing to hide anyway. Sit back and read up and good luck,
Mike Hawkins

Marvin,
Welcome to the forum. I recently joined this forum after retiring from 36 years military duty in the Air Force and hope to have more time for woodworking. I have found it to be extremely informative and people in the know are so willing to share their knowledge. I wish I could have had this much information at my finger tips back when I was doing a lot of woodworking 30 years ago. Great for power tool advice and info as well. Thanks for your service to our great country and enjoy the site.
Vern
