Good morning folks.

I'm from Mid Michigan, USA and am a wood carver and pyrographer and woodworking enthusiast. Nothing professional. Hobbyist is more like it.

My passion is putting together a cost efficient, space saving woodshop in my garage and then putting it to use.

Great forum!

Thanks for the Welcome Wagon

Appreciate all the comments. Quite a few folks from 'The Mitt' here.

I actually live in Midland, MI for those of you familiar with Michigan.

It is a nice area, and yes it is just starting to show signs of getting cold.

I am currently watching store sales and Craigslist for a garage space heater so I can continue the fun deep into the winter.

Welcome! I have been to Michigan several times and to the UP. The snow there was so high it was snowplowed off the side and covered the windows

Thanks for the note Old Dutchman! My pipe smoking is turning into a hobby as well as I am beginning to collect vintage Kaywoodies and Custombilts.

The black cup of coffee is a must. Looks like you gave it up by choice or need. Can respect both.

That cabinet was a challenge as it was done prior to getting a table saw, so most cuts were with a circular saw with a guide clamped onto the wood and routing manually prior to making my own router table.

Hi Neighbor!

There's a few of us here from MI. Lots of hardwood to make stuff from in the woods. LL Johnson in Charlotte, is a good source if you need hardwood lumber and they can dimension for you also.

The answer to your question will only be as detailed and specific as the question is detailed and specific. Good questions also include a sketch or a photo that illustrates your issue. (:< D)
