I'm new to this forum and joined to learn about using a lathe to shape cork handles on Spey rods, which are two-handed fly-fishing rods with two-piece handles of up to 26 inches. I rebuilt a 1950s Craftsman with a 3/4" headstock spindle but don't know what kind of chuck to use to turn the rod handles. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
