New guy from Utah!

I stumbled onto this site a few days ago, and have been hooked since.

That being said my name is Jason I'm 35, I've been in construction since my first job when I was 15. I have been into wood working most of my life. I enjoy making anything out of wood, I enjoy looking at stuff and trying to reverse engineer how to build them.

My dream in life would be to open a custom shop building anything that can be out of wood. I recently started to build wood landing nets for fishing due to being picky about the production nets you can buy in the stores. They have character and each one is unique.

I will keep this short but hope to join in and learn New things and help out when I can.

Jason

Welcome to the forum. How about some pics of your woodworking? We love pics.

I see now that your profile says Clinton. I should have checked before I asked. Well you're among friends here! Maybe we can meet up and chat one day when we are both at macbeath in slc shopping for exotics.

Welcome! I guessing fishing is your other hobby.

Thanks for the welcome, and yes fishing is my main hobby. I'm trying to post pictures but I'm having a hard time getting them to post. Is it possible to post picture using an iPhone?

I use my iPhone almost exclusively for the forum. The app works really well and I post pictures through the app easily. If you are using the app, when writing your post, click the small + plus sign at the top the and gives you the option to post pics from either your camera, or from your photos.

What app are you referring too? Sorry for the dumb questions, I've only had iPhones for about 6 years now so you would think I would know how it works.

I am so glad you brought up macbeath, I have been wanting to find someone local to buy some small pieces of some nice exotic wood. I will deffinetly be heading there in the near future.

You interested in slabs and big hefty hunks of timber? I've been milling up some mighty fine elm as of late! It came from some 100+ year old trees growing in Orem on Geneva. The color is just amazing.
