New guy looking for some advice

HELLO EVERYONE MY NAMES DAN I'VE JUST STARTED WOODWORKING ABOUT A YEAR OR SO AGO I'VE BEEN AROUND IT PRETTY MUCH ALL OF MY LIFE MY FATHER WHO WAS A CONTRACTER - BUISNESS OWNER FOR 50 SOME YEARS WASN'T INTO MAKING FURNITURE OR ANY KIND OF FINE FINISHING WORK OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT JUST YOUR BASIC BUILDING AND TEARRING APART ALWAYS WANTED ME TO FOLLOW IN HIS FOOTSTEPS I TRIED IT FOR A BIT BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY IT WAS JUST A JOB TO ME THEN WHEN I WAS 16 I GOT CERTIFIED AS A POWDER PAINTER AND HAVE BEEN DOING THAT FOR THE PAST 12 YEARS TILL ONEDAY ABOUT A YEAR AGO AN EX GIRLFRIEND BOUGHT ME A DREMEL AS A GIFT AND ITS BEEN ALL DOWNHILL FROM THERETHEN ABOUT A MONTH AFTER I REALLY GOT INTO IT AND STARTED TO LOVE IT MY FATHER WAS DIAGNOSED WITH BRAIN AND LUNG CANCER AND EVEN WITH CHEMO 6 MONTHS LATER HE WAS GONE BEFORE HE EVER GOT TO SEE ANYTHING THAT I BUILT SINCE THEN I'VE BEEN LEARNING FROM MAGAZINES AND BOOKS AND WHAT I READ ON THE INTERNET I DON'T KNOW ANYONE ELSE WHO'S INTERESTED IN WOODWORKING OUT OF ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY I'M THE ONLY ONE SO I REALLY HAVEN'T HAD A TEACHER OR MENTOR IN THE TRADE I'M LEARNING SLOWLY THROUGH TRIAL AND ERROR WHICH IS PRETTY DARN EXPENSIVE IN THIS TRADE (LOL) BUT STUMBLED UPON THIS SITE ON ACCIDENT LOOKING FOR TIPS AND TRICKS AND REGISTERED AND SO FAR I LOVE IT THE PEOPLE ARE GREAT AND REALLY HELPFUL SO ANY ADVICE TIPS TRICKS OR JUST SOME PLAIN OLD CRITISISM I'M ALL EARS THANKS ALOT GUYS

Oh Danny Boy,
Welcome to the forum. One request please, lose the caps and italics and blue text, it's very hard to read. Enjoy the threads and feel free to ask questions.
