New Guy

Hello, I'm a 32 year old guy from Columbus, OH. I grew up playing around in Grandpas woodshop. Practically spent every weekend in there till I was 16 when he passed. After he was gone, I didnt have a whole lot of interest in woodworking any more. I have recently decided to get back into it and my first project may be beyond my knowledge. I'm getting ready to start a cradle project for my new baby daughter that should be ariving in a few weeks. I was researching some jointery when I came across this site. There are some fine craftsman here and I look forward to learning knew things from you guys. I dont have a whole lot of tools right now, but I'm picking up things here and there. I currently have a table saw, compound mitre saw, router and routing table and other small tools. A guy from work is gonna loan me some things he dont use. A jointer, a belt sander, scroll saw. I have asked for a drill press for Christmas as well as a few other things.

Welcome Bassblaster:
Cradle might be a little ambitious for a first project but if you break it down to a lot of small projects it won't seem so overwhelming. Take your time and make it fun and voila...success

Well, I havnt forgot everything Grandpa taught me, lol. It is a little above my current skill level but I will take my time and do it right. I'm hoping it will be something her child may sleep in one day. Thanks for the encouragement!!
