New to the forums :)

Hello all!

Im new to woodworking, i started whittling last year and was very poor at it. Then i got a dremel

Now i have 2 dremels and a wedding on the way and i have been antagonizing over what kind of ring i want...

Well i just decided the other day that i want a wooden ring, after doing alot of searching i found that its not that common and no one has any how-tos on making/finishing them.

So ill be picking all of your brains for ideas on how to create, replicate, finish and craft the perfect wedding ring for me and my soon to be husband

PS i made 2 wooden rings today with my dremel and carving knife. They turned out really good and decided that im going to learn how to do some wood burning to add detail.

Kupcake,
Welcome to the forum. After watching that 'Blood Diamond' movie, the wooden rings make a lot more sense. Never was much of a jewelery person.

Welcome aboard Kupcake. I admire anyone who takes a stab at whittling these days, being practically a lost art of a bygone era.

That it's morphed into making your fiance a wooden ring is downright cool. There are some wooden ring threads here so maybe they'll be of benefit to ya.

And don't worry if BHOFM or some other fresh-out-of-the-asylum type like him starts picking on you. That's what we have wonderwoman for.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAHAHAHA!
And, whatever you do, don't meow like a kitten! That frightens them and they roll away like little balls of yarn and never speak to you again.
