I am a 53 year old living in Sydney Australia. I am new to woodworking and I love it so much that I am now taking a tradesman course in cabinetmaking. I hope to become good at it in the future. In the meantime I am reading and practicing a lot and finding great pleasure in these activities. In fact woodwork is quite a therapeutic activity for me. I am particularly interested in hand tools and especially japanese tools.

Welcome achille. Those Japanese tools will quickly dig into the pocket. They are addictive, expensive, and worth every penny!

japanese tools

Would japanese tools be made in same way as a samurai sword with all the layers to give strength and sharpness?
