Hi all,

I'm new to woodworking, but have had years of hobby experience building things. Several years ago, I bought a Sears Radial Arm saw from a friend and made a few meager attempts at some projects. I made an aquarium hood with it, which for a fully untrained novice turned out OK. Not great, but usable.

I gave that away to charity about 3 years ago. This last summer, we installed a bamboo floor in our house, which gave me an opprotunity to buy a Table Saw. Always wanted one. So I got one. My next post, in a few minutes, will be in an appropriate forum for my questions on my Table Saw. I think I'm going to regret my choice...

Anyway, my interest in woodworking is primarily for custom furnishings such as bookcases, shelves and so on. Hoping for some good fun.

Oh, by the way. As part of the remodeling that included the bamboo flooring, we remodeled a portion of our kitchen. I was able to make, (after a few false starts) some half decent kitchen cabinets. I'm currently working on one of the drawers for this. That is what will prompt my next post about my saw.

Thanks for a great resource.

Welcome to the post Bill. This realy is a good place to learn and share thoughts. After 30 plus years of woodworking I built my first set of kitchen cabinets. They came out ok by my standards, but never seeing any built before my wife and I are happy with them. You can see them by clicking on my photos. Oh yea we like pictures.

Nice work, but two funny observations.

Many of your doors are not installed. I'm waiting on one myself!

The other is that your drawer handles are the same as the ones we had. We have now replaced them. Anyone looking for about 40 handles like you see in his pictures?
