Hello, Ladies, hello, Gentlemen.

I'm a woodworker in Seattle.

I'm a retired General Contractor, and I have a shop in the basement.

I was trained (a thousand years ago, when men were stronger and women more beautiful) as a carpenter, and worked on commercial projects for several years, then became licensed.

I worked as a residential remodeler for more than twenty years.

I was trained in fine finish work, but somehow that evolved into making money digging ditches and waterproofing basements. I'm still not sure exactly how that happened, but it happened really quickly.

My revenge is that now I'm studying dovetails and how to cut small logs into good lumber. My wife thinks I'm nuts, and she's constantly surprised at the things I produce in the shop.

Her birthday is coming up in a couple weeks, so I'm off to finish the laptop cushion thingie (my own, technical title) I'm building for her.

Welcome to the forum from the Midwest Jammer!

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. James 3:17
