Intro

I'm a school principal who does woodworking for therapy. Basic skills and equipment now, but improving. I have 150 acres of hardwood forest and a woodmizer portable mill. I am currently making cutting blocks for my staff and family members. I have access to red & white oak, walnut, black cherry, beech, ash, and maple. Love the color variations offered by using dark and light woods. What woods work best for lasting use, not dulling knives, etc.?
