Intermediate woodworker new to forum

Well, maybe not intermediate wood worker. Intermediate wood butcher. Of course, you know there are mistakes in your project that other people don't notice. So far, I have built a cherry coffee table, cherry dining room table with "curved" legs and leaves, and a cherry entertainment center. I used to be on a woodworkers forum years ago but I finally realized I was spending so much time keeping up with it that I wasn't getting any woodworking done. I use power tools as well as hand tools (planes, etc.) I used to use Visual Cadd for plans but I am trying to learn Sketchup.

Welcome to the forum.

Sounds like you like working with cherry.

Indeed I do. It is a good stable wood without to much expansion and contraction and it looks good with a lot of finishes. I also found a good source for it and found some long boards more than 18 inches wide. Some with figure.

Thanks to all for the welcome.
