Smile I'm new!

My name is Fran, i'm 17 and i'm studying product design for A Levels in Kent, England. I'm hoping to go to Uni in a few years to study furniture making or product design. I just thought it might be fun to come on a forum and see what everyone else gets up to. I'd love to be able to make my own home projects but i just don't have enough room or money to be able to have decent tools at home so i do all my wood work at school, and we're only allowed to do our course related projects

So yeah, i've made a few different things over the years. Last year my GCSE project was a rabbit hutch, it was 2 stories with an apex roof and storage cupboard, and painted bright pink (it was supposed to be in the style of a dolls house for a young girl). This year i made a bedside table with 2 drawers and a built in light, which i only finished a few days ago! I don't have a picture of the rabbit hutch but here is the bedside table, the reason its so low is that i have a really low bed which it was designed for:

Hello Fran,
This may be wishful thinking but it seems obvious that you need to find a place nearby to do some woodworking. Maybe a retired woodworker who has an under-utilized shop, or maybe one who you could trade your labour for some free shop time.

Thumbs up Planer/Molder for sale

I have an extra planer for sale. It has about 200-250 hrs of use on it, I bought it brand new 1.5 yrs ago for 1800$. It is 15" wide and is also a molder, easy switch to molder set up. Runs really clean, has 2 power feed speed, cuts very clean. Also have a small dust collector for it. Asking $1200.00 w/ dust collector included. I am posting pics now
